Colon
Import & Export goes back a long way.
The Panama Canal was still
unfinished when the company was incorporated in Colon in 1912.
The company maintained land trading stations and three vessels
to barter goods with the Kuna indians in the San Blas Archipelago
for coconuts, balata rubber, hawksbill tortoise shell, and ipecac
root. Pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and electronic goods have replaced
barter goods and containers have replaced coastal trading vessels. Warehousemen of yesteryear would be astonished to see the present 500,000 square feet of warehousing
and office space, computerized
stock control with internet access, radio frequency order picking
and 24 hour order turnaround.
Today as a third party warehousing operation these are just
a few of the advantages that we offer our select client base.
Strategically located in the Colon Free Zone, Republic of Panama
since 1952, our 56 years of experience
in the Colon Free Zone and solid client base positions us as
the premier third-party specialist providing a
more effective and efficient service than corporate generalists. |
